Claims Team Leader

Join a specialised insurance underwriting company as a Team Leader within Motor Claims. The client is looking for an experienced, customer-centric and people-focused leader to join their growing Claims team This role requires intermittent travel nationally to foster relationships and cement the right candidate as an operational and strategic leader.
Benefits to successful applicants: Competitive base salary with yearly performance bonusesJoin a team of experts that celebrates successParticipate in company-wide celebrations, with regular interstate tripsPaid birthday offCareer, training and personal development opportunitiesFlexibility through a hybrid working environment, including some work from homeThrive in a positive, fun, and supportive work environment Duties and responsibilities include: Lead and inspire a high-performing claims team, motivating them to exceed outstanding metrics and deliver resultsManage the day-to-day operations of the claims team, setting clear performance goals and ensuring workloads are well-balancedEnsure all internal policies, procedures, and external legislative requirements are met consistentlyProvide guidance on customer queries, escalated complaints, and claims processes, maintaining high service standardsTrack team and individual performance through detailed reports, identifying trends and areas for improvementOffer ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to help develop the skills of claims consultants We are looking for someone with: Minimum of 2 years leadership experience in claims environments, specifically with motor productsProven history of leading high-performance teams with a focus on people developmentStrong communication skills with a proactive, highly motivated attitudeAbility to excel in a challenging, fast-paced, and constantly evolving environmentExtensive general insurance background with a deep understanding of insurance products and complianceAbility to foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders across various teams
