About the RoleWe are seeking a Principal Governance and Assurance who will report to the Superintendent of Business Systems and Controls in the Operations Services (OS) team.
Applies an understanding of specific Risk and HSE systems, management, activities, risks, key processes, terminology, and workflow in support of OS compliance with key internal and external requirements.Designs and implements governance/assurance practices and Management of Change procedures to control value outcomes across BHP.Identifies and assesses risks, makes risk informed decisions, uses BHP's risk management framework and builds a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.Utilises a range of tools to provide meaningful insights into performance against requirements and opportunities for improvement.Develops practical plans, aligned to OS strategic objectives that stretch the team to achieve high performance.About Operations ServicesOperations Services is providing permanent employment to a growing team of more than 3800 employees.

To be successful in this role, you should:
Preferably have a background in safety, assurance or risk management within the resources sector.Demonstrate the ability to develop strong relationships and work collaboratively with a wide variety of stakeholders.Be able to deliver simple, effective solutions in a changing environment.Communicate effectively, demonstrating an understanding of differing views and adapting language and approach for the target audience.About Our ProcessAt BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
