About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Supports Facilitator to join our team. This role will provide rostering and operational support, to ensure efficient, reliable delivery of services to individuals with a physical disability and to assist in the efficient and effective deployment of our most critical resource, our people.
This role will be first line contact point for rostering related matters. Focusing on keeping supports 'humming' along using our rostering software, coordinating the day-to-day schedules of staff and customer rosters. This role is also responsible for monitoring the professional development and delivery of supports provided by their team.
This is ideal for a creative problem solver, who enjoys engaging with other people and would welcome their next challenge. This role would ideally suit someone with an eye for detail who can work autonomously within set parameters and has a good understanding of the disability sector, and the range of skills required for disability support workers and admin support staff.
Key Duties
Answering phones and responding to emails
Effective, efficient development and maintenance of rosters - Forward planning rosters and managing last minute roster changes and replacements.
Schedule and process changes in our rostering system.
Communicate regularly with PCAs, customers and families to ensure they are informed of rosters and short notice changes.
Email / send rosters to customers.
Lead a team of support workers developing a positive team culture.
Identify and assist in PCA recruitment and onboarding.
Review and action timesheets to ensure accurate payroll processing.
Establish new customers from enquiry through to implementation of services, ensuring regular reviews of new and existing customers.
Ensure team members compliances are current.
Assist in the building of cohesive PCA's, through support, communication and performance monitoring.
Ensure all customer and staff documentation is in line with the organisations style guide.
Maintain and update job knowledge records, relevant to this role.
Assist in the planning of and represent MACS at community and fundraising events.
Ensure services are delivered in line with MACS policies and procedures and in accordance with the requirements of the NDIS Commission.
Attend and contribute to staff meetings to ensure continual improvements in service delivery.
Communicate as needed with the Service Delivery Manager and/or Team Leaders of problems and issues that may occur from to time to time with staff members.
Be able to resolve workplace conflicts in a professional manner.
Ad-hoc duties as determined by the General Manager.
Participate in a rotational after-hours on-call roster to manage urgent matters that occur outside office hours.
What we need from you:
Experience working in a community service or similar role. Support worker acceptable.
High level attention to detail, time management, initiative, and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a small team.
Understand issues associated with physical disabilities.
Digital savviness, with the proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite.
Understand the importance of and meet deadlines and prioritise workflow.
Love of learning and ability to operate with uncertainty and adapt readily.
Willingness to regularly participate in an on-call roster as required/rostered.
Desirable
Previous rostering experience.
Previous on-call participation.
