This position will drive delivery across the development, architecture, and operations squads internally, and our diverse cohort of retail software partners externally.The role has an end-to-end view of program delivery, the program roadmap, and works closely with the Program/Project Leads in our business pillars and the Head of Retail Technology to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the agreed scope and budget.In this RoleLeadership & Strategy: Contribute to the development and execution of the Retail Technology Platform's strategic vision and goals.Ensure alignment with the overall program strategy while maintaining governance frameworks, policies, and procedures for effective project management.Project Management: Oversee the management of workstreams and external project dependencies, ensuring proper prioritization, resourcing, and timely, within-budget delivery.Conduct regular performance reviews, evaluating risks, and collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to address Program and Portfolio-level issues and conflicts.Act as the Scrum Master, driving adoption of Azure DevOps and Microsoft Project as our Primary Program Management tool sets.Develop & promote project management methodologies, quality & assistance and best practices.Ensure Retail Technology resources are integrated into plans and capacity planning is conducted, addressing any resource gaps.Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, and communicate project progress, risks, and issues.Develop & implement a robust risk, issue dependency and decision management framework.Define & track KPIs to measure Program workstream and project performance.Prepare reports and dashboards to provide status updates, and conduct post project reviews.Foster a change-ready culture within Retail Technology and business partners.Organise knowledge sharing sessions, workshops and programs for project managers and stakeholders.You're Likely a Match IfProven experience managing program delivery in complex, matrix environments.Advanced planning & organisation skills and capable of prioritising multiple competing demands.Disciplined approach to program and project management.Exceptional communication skills with an ability to articulate complex issues with a simplistic & priority focus approach.Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence and gain buy-in.Strong strategic planning and commercial acumen.Ability to solve problems, assist the business in decisions through use of analytical and robust decision making.Experience working with both waterfall and agile methodologies, as required.Qualifications: Project Management Certification and/or Qualifications e.g.
AIPM, PMI / PMP, PRINCE2, PROSI Accreditation, P30 and/or SAFe/Agile.Willingness to learn the Azure DevOps Software Development Platform to a mastery level.Strong MS Project, Power BI, and PowerPoint skills.Experience with Retail Point of Sale Software Systems development would be advantageous but is not critical.Industry experience within FMCG is highly regarded.Life at MetcashExperience a supportive and flexible work environment.
