About the Role: Are you a Chef or Cook looking for a change of pace in 2025?
We are a fast-growing artisan sourdough bread and pastry producer located in Airport West.
With the addition of our new retail arm, Backhaus Foodstore, launching early 2025, we are on the hunt for more crew to join our team.
No experience is necessary; just a positive outlook, a good work ethic, and a calm temperament are a must.
We offer all training on the job with the mixing, moulding, and baking of our sourdough and semi-sourdough lines.
With the bulk of our team coming from restaurant backgrounds, we can vouch that it's a great way to stay connected to good food sans docket printer.
We offer a 9-day working fortnight with rotating weekends, and an average day being around 7 am - 4 pm.
Hourly award rates are paid, with salary also offered under negotiation based on experience and qualifications.
No cash or sponsorship is available.
Principal Responsibility: With the appropriate training, you will be involved in managing ovens, mixing doughs, and shaping/moulding sourdough products.
You will be expected to follow recipes, work in a clean & professional manner, and be respectful of all other team members in the workplace.
You must possess a level of fitness enabling you to lift and work on your feet in accordance with OH & S guidelines.
A full commitment to food safety procedures and good attention to detail is required.

Pay: $32.89 – $45.89 per hour
