Salary: $48 per hour plus penalties.Position Type: Permanent on-going role.Location: LidcombeHours: Monday - Friday, 7.30 - 3.30pm.
Occasional Overtime if desired.Position Overview:The Workshop Plant Technician will be responsible for repairing and maintaining equipment such as elevating work platforms, telescopic handlers, skid steers, and forklifts.
This role involves working on DC electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and mechanical equipment including engines, motors, and production machines.Key Responsibilities:Workshop repairs and maintenanceNew machine pre-delivery preparation and inspectionCustomer satisfactionSafety / Quality cross-functional supportFault finding, repairs, and services on Manitou Center customer and internal machines, including but not limited to:Diesel, LPG and petrol enginesSteering systemsTransmissions – hydrostatic, powershift and manualBrake systemsHydraulic valves and cylindersElectrical starting, charging and accessoriesProcess workshop service/repair documentation on a daily basisPresent yourself in a professional manner at all timesWork in a safe manner, use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided and comply with requirements of the current Occupational Safety and Health (OS&H) legislationQualifications and Experience:Relevant Trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent)Minimum 2 years' experience as a tradesperson post-apprenticeshipForklift License (desirable)Current Driver's License (advantageous)Current EWP High-Risk License (advantageous)Telehandler Gold Card (advantageous)Skills & Attributes:Excellent interpersonal relationship and customer-focusedGood verbal and written communication skillsWarm personality and open-mindedSelf-motivatedGood technical background experience in hydraulics and electrics for supporting machinery: e.g.
