Our Markets business aims to become the leading emerging markets fixed income, financing, and securities service franchise, and a leader in sustainable finance, advisory, trading and asset servicing.The business will achieve this by expanding product capabilities, building on footprint market strength, developing our talent and using technology to transform our ways of working. We're looking for highly capable individuals to join us and maintain the highest levels of integrity and professionalism, in line with our valued behaviours.Key ResponsibilitiesSustainably grow franchise revenue by supporting our clients, acting as a market-maker and effectively manage our risk exposures.Manage and execute trading strategies and ensure long term economic profit goals are achieved.Develop market making strategies in target markets.Ensure trading activities are compliant to standards based on risk-weighted asset and return on equity targets management.Ensure budget targets are cascaded to teams with product targets, and proactively performance manage targets through to delivery.Collaborate with global Relationship Managers, Capital Structuring and Distribution Group and Financial Market Sales to identify clients needing solutions that the public market cannot provide.Identify, analyse and drive profitable trading opportunities to client requirements and goals, for example – supporting the growing demand for sustainable finance.Navigate new trading markets and capitalise on new sustainable finance opportunities, for example - Carbon Credit Trading.Leverage emerging technologies to digitise trading, including Cognitive Algorithmic Trading platform to monitor market risks, real-time inventory, pricing negotiation and business insights.Our Ideal CandidateFinancial mathematics and financial products.Risk management, financial and credit analysis.Experienced in using and adapting to client behaviors and preferences.Financial Services industry and regulatory experience.Must have work right in Australia.Skills and ExperienceEconomic analysis and modelling.Emerging technology.Environmental, social and good governance (ESG), and Sustainable Finance.What we offerIn line with our Fair Pay Charter, we offer a competitive salary and benefits to support your mental, physical, financial and social wellbeing.Core bank funding for retirement savings, medical and life insurance, with flexible and voluntary benefits available in some locations.Time-off including annual leave, parental/maternity (20 weeks), sabbatical (12 months maximum) and volunteering leave (3 days), along with minimum global standards for annual and public holiday, which is combined to 30 days minimum.Flexible working options based around home and office locations, with flexible working patterns.Proactive wellbeing support through Unmind, a market-leading digital wellbeing platform, development courses for resilience and other human skills, global Employee Assistance Programme, sick leave, mental health first-aiders and all sorts of self-help toolkits.A continuous learning culture to support your growth, with opportunities to reskill and upskill and access to physical, virtual and digital learning.Being part of an inclusive and values driven organisation, one that embraces and celebrates our unique diversity, across our teams, business functions and geographies - everyone feels respected and can realise their full potential.
