Our underground entry level role will enable you tolearn new skills, build life-long friendships, and earn serious money as an Underground Entry-level Driller's Offsider (Drillers Assistant / Trainee Driller).
Keep in mind that this role is the most demanding job in the mines, but well-worth the challenge if you're up for it. Our team will go above and beyond to support you during this transition into the resources sector What is expected of you on the job: Listen to the Driller and follow their guidanceConducting daily pre-start equipment checksCompleting necessary safety paperwork and processesAssisting with routine rig / machine / equipment / tool maintenance and cleaningLoading and unloading heavy vehiclesAssist in set up / dismantle / move rigs and associated equipmentManual Handling of drill rods, sample bags, core trays etcOther duties as requiredTo be successful, you must have and provide: Manual C class licence with no restrictionsMust currently reside in Western AustraliaAbility to pass a pre-employment medicalClean Police Record from within the last 3 monthsAustralian Citizenship or Permanent ResidentA solid commitment to safetyWorking at heights and 4WD ticket (not required, but highly regarded)Mechanical aptitude, strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feetBe willing to put in the hard yards in training.Serious physical and mental fitness is a must to succeed in Offsiding.
This role involves extensive manual labouring, so you will need to cope and perform with the demands of the position, confined spaces, dust and other environmental challenges.
