Machine Control Field Service TechnicianSitech WA is Western Australia's premier GPS Machine Control and Site Positioning supplier to the mining and construction industry.
We work closely with some of the largest Mining Companies and Construction Contractors in Australia and provide cost-effective, innovative solutions to enable these contractors to be more efficient, productive, and competitive in their industry.
Due to strong growth in our business, we are currently looking for new Machine Control Field Service Technicians to join us.
The role: Installation of Trimble Machine Control to heavy mobile equipmentRetrofitting wiring harnesses and hardware to heavy mobile equipmentTravelling to remote sites for installations and breakdownsElectrical diagnosticsUse of survey equipment for commissioningTravel to remote sites as well as local work throughout Perth.
There is some flexibility around travel; however, this role demands a willingness to fly and drive to meet the needs of clients.Full time, permanent (40 hours/week) with flat rate over time.Requirements: Attention to detail and pride in workmanshipA team player with good communication skillsAn appetite to learn and willingness to accept instructionAbility and willingness to comply with workplace health & safety requirementsExcellent customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationshipsProficiency working with hand and power toolsPrevious machine control experience highly desirable, but not essentialExperience within the Mining/Construction industry preferably in a technical/survey role highly desirable, but not essentialUnderstanding of correction-based GPS systems desirable, but not essentialTrade qualification or experience in a similar, 'hands-on role' an advantage, but not essentialMust be able to pass a pre-employment Medical incl.
