We are looking for a visionary Head of HSE to join our team at Perenti Contract Mining Australia.
This pivotal role will drive safety, health, and environmental performance across our operations, ensuring the well-being of our people while enhancing our safety culture and compliance standards.
About the Role As the Head of HSE, you will:
Provide strategic guidance and functional leadership in HSE.Partner with senior leadership to improve safety maturity and culture across our Australian operations.Mentor, coach, and support HSE teams to build capabilities, skills, and knowledge pipelines.Oversee compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.Lead the implementation of strategic HSE initiatives and provide oversight for governance and performance reporting.Engage with clients to ensure alignment on safety systems and improvement plans.What We're Looking For To excel in this role, you'll bring:
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in HSE roles (preferably in mining or similar industries) and significant management experience.Expertise: High-level understanding of safety and risk management principles, mining practices, and human and organizational principles.Leadership: Proven ability to influence, coach, and guide teams across complex operations.Education: Relevant qualifications in Health and Safety, and membership in the Australian Institute of Health and Safety is encouraged.Skills: Exceptional communication, investigative, and analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.Why Join Us?
