We own and operate two underground mines and processing facilities in New South Wales (NSW) and have an enviable portfolio of organic growth prospects in the region.The MineFederation is now one of Australia's newest and highest-grade base metals mines.
Located 15 kilometres south of the central-west township of Nymagee, the Federation deposit hosts significant zinc, lead, and gold mineralisation.We actively promote a culture where everyone feels safe, included, and respected.
We welcome differences of thought and people from all backgrounds as we strive to create an inclusive workplace.The Role :Working as part of the site Mine Geology team at Federation, this role supports the overall operation of the mine, offering you broad exposure to both the underground and project side of the operation.
On a daily basis, you will be assisting with diamond drill core processing, underground grade control, material tracking, and management of geological data.Key Responsibilities :Ensuring a safe work environment by identifying hazards, enhancing safety, and fulfilling all reporting needs.Handling, collection, and processing of geological samples, including but not limited to stockpile, face, and sludge samples.Monitoring grade and ore / waste allocations of all development headings and stopes.Minimising dilution by monitoring ore drive position and direction.Producing high-quality geological mapping of faces and backs.Assisting with diamond drill core processing, including mark-up and geological logging, and assisting the geology technicians with sampling where required.Updating and maintaining geological databases.Working with underground supervisors and operators when working in operational areas.Utilising site systems and QA / QC protocols to ensure the quality and integrity of data.Consistently considering the financial impact of all your actions to proactively participate in and assist your Manager and team to manage costs effectively.Adhering to Aurelia standards and procedures.Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and identifying opportunities for improvements and enhancements which will increase operational performance.About You :Are you a recent University Graduate looking for a dynamic hands-on role in an exciting, new, underground high-grade polymetallic mine?

Our 8 days on, 6 days off roster pattern allows for this balance, with direct FIFO arrangements from Brisbane and Sydney to Cobar.
