Automation Tester

Testing & Quality Assurance (Information & Communication Technology) Full time GaP Solutions is a leading and innovative provider of retail solutions used by our clients across Australia and internationally.
Our cloud-based applications cover the key retail operations of point of sale (POS), shop floor scanning, and back-office retail management for supermarkets and fresh food retail businesses.
Our software plays a vital role in getting fresh food packed, shelves stocked, checkout lines moving, and payment cards tapping for our partner retailers and their customers.
Due to sustained growth and our commitment to continuous improvement, we are looking for an Automation Tester to join our development team to bolster the reliability of the functionalities of our flagship SaaS web application.
About the role: An opportunity for an Automation Tester / QA to join our team is now available on a permanent full-time basis.
As an integral part of our development team, you'll be involved in the planning, development, and release cycles to produce the best possible user experience for our customers.
You will be empowered to take ownership of the pre-existing and future automated test suites to continue to ensure correct and reliable software functionalities.
You will work closely with our business analysts, product owners, and developers to identify testing scenarios based on potential product risk, and translate these scenarios into test cases and scripts.
You will conduct comprehensive automated testing to ensure we maintain the quality standards set for our system.

A strong interest in ensuring your team delivers high performing, secure, high-quality softwareGood problem-solving skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAn interest in learning about and working with new relevant technologies within the Software Testing ecosystem2+ years experience in:Programming in C#, Java, or any other Object-oriented programming language.Utilising language specific test frameworks (e.g.
NUnit/MSTest/xUnit)Creating and maintaining test cases and test plans for individual features and modules.Manual testing: regression, functional, and exploratory.Using source control and issue tracking software effectivelyRESTful JSON API testing, e.g.
using PostmanWriting and illustrating technically-focused reports or documentation.Actively participating in the delivery of projectsTo stand out, you might have:
The ability to identify potential regression risk, and test for itExperience writing integration or end-to-end testsExperience with writing/generating clear and concise test or bug reportsExperience working in an Agile team and methodologyExperience with performance or load testing, e.g.
using JMeterExperience with querying relational database schemas (e.g.
MySQL or SQL Server)A testing certification, or a Bachelor's degree in IT or related disciplineNon-functional testing, e.g.
