Major Loss Claims Officer

Suncorp Group is looking for a best-in-class Commercial Major Loss Claims Officer to join our team to deliver exceptional customer service on a permanent basis.What you'll doManagement of ISR, complex commercial property and large loss claim files from assessment to settlement.Manage the insured/brokers claim expectations and explain in plain English policy response and how settlement achieved.Assist fellow Claims Officers - we work as a team; this means that we distribute the workload to ensure that claims are handled in a prompt and efficient manner.Provide Underwriters and Claims Manager with feedback from issues or risk deficiencies.Provide regular claim progress updates to Brokers and Customers as per Service Standards and Code of Practice including any declinatures and to invite feedback.Effective use & knowledge of the computer systems.Determine appropriate contract coverage, including indemnity, legal liability and quantum issues.What you'll bringExtensive claims experience in Commercial Property Claims.Experience in managing ISR claims.Strong technical knowledge of both material damage and business interruption claims.Proven performer in customer service roles.Ideally have completed or completing ANZIIF studies (or equivalent).Strong decision-making skills.What we can offer youDiscounts and offers on a range of retail favourite stores as well as banking and insurance products.A range of flexible working and leave options.Prioritise your work/life balance with our robust employee assistance program and dedicated employee council.Invest in your brighter future with ongoing study support and career development programs.Give back to our communities with payroll giving, donation matching and paid volunteer leave.It's worth noting that specific benefits may vary depending on the role, level, and location of the employee.Why you'll love working with usFor over 100 years Suncorp Group has been driven by our guiding Purpose – to build futures and protect what matters.
