About the company:As a global leader in the engineering and construction industry, Fluor provides sustainable solutions and builds a better world by designing, building, and maintaining safe, well executed projects.Role description:We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in mining, industrial and mineral processing projects. Fluor is currently executing several key projects and is seeking an experienced engineer to join the electrical team.Role ResponsibilitiesBe part of the team on large multi-discipline EPCM projects.Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers and designers to foster a culture of collaboration and co-operation with other disciplines.Develop and review estimates, schedules, progress reports, labour forecasts etc.Development, checking and approval process to ensure the technical integrity of project drawings and documentation such as scope of work, datasheets, and other project baseline documents in an orderly and timely manner.Interpret and apply client, national and international standards to design documentation.Engage with and manage vendors and sub-contractor interfaces.Undertake technical verification of project deliverables produced by other disciplines to contribute your technical expertise.Support client driven activity such as workshops and internal toll-gating.Manage project scope variation, schedule impacts and report on progress and outlook.Review and check calculations, equipment specifications and vendor offers/submissions.Understand and apply Fluor's Operating system requirements, engineering practices and job bulletins.Seek continual improvement of engineering processes and designs.Liaise with site construction and commissioning teams to address queries.Qualifications, Experience & SkillsA completed Tertiary engineering degree that is recognized by Engineers Australia.Relevant industry experience with eligibility of MIEAust membership.EEHA qualifications and design experience is essential.In-depth understanding of Functional Safety practices and solutions.Communicate effectively with management, team members, clients, vendors and other stakeholders to build strong relationships.Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems with attention to detail.Understand project life-cycle requirements to provide robust guidance and solutions.Experience in software design tools such as Smart Plant, Digsilent PowerFactory, ETAP, SKM Power Tools, CDEGS etc is desirable.
