Our ideal candidate has technical knowledge and experience in one or more of the following functions: planning and reporting, project and change management, governance, and risk management.
An ability to prepare high-quality, clear, and user-centered guidance, tools, templates, and reporting is also fundamental to this role.
An ability to lead a small team and manage internal and external stakeholder relationships is essential.
This position is responsible for managing or supporting the National Gallery's activities in:
project management planning and agency performance agency reporting (internal, external, parliamentary, sector-wide) policy and process development governance.
The team is known and respected for its approachability, complex problem solving, solution orientation, and professionalism.
You will be working with a team committed to high performance, user-centered service provision, and, most importantly, supporting each other to achieve and succeed.
THE KEY DUTIES OF THE POSITION - WHAT WILL YOU DO?
In accordance with the EL1 work level standards, you will:
Provide planning, reporting, governance, and project framework advice and support to Gallery business areas.
Lead and manage Gallery planning and performance reporting, ensuring the quality, accuracy, consistency, continuity, and timeliness of the reporting process.
Monitor implementation of the project management framework and prepare enterprise project reporting and trend analysis to inform strategic discussions with senior leaders in the Gallery.
Contribute to the continual improvement of the National Gallery's planning, reporting, project management, policy, and governance frameworks and policies.
Develop and embed processes to drive consistency and transparency and prepare communication and training material to support the growth of Gallery capability.
Provide ad-hoc advice and support for broader Governance teams as required.
This role may include leading a small team.

Citizenship – To be eligible for employment with the Gallery, you must be an Australian citizen.
Police Check – to be eligible for this role, you must complete a police check.
