Job Title: Secondary VET Construction Teacher - Permanent Full-Time
Summary: We are currently seeking a passionate teacher of Vocational Education & Training (VET) Construction to join our College community on an ongoing full-time basis in Term 1 2025.

Secondary VET Construction Teacher Permanent Full-time Start date: Term 1 – 31st January 2025 St Patrick's Marist College is a close-knit community, forming young people who have strong minds and gentle hearts.

About the opportunity:
We are seeking a VET Construction Teacher who is an enthusiastic, talented professional able to bring innovation and creativity to their learning areas with experience of teaching Stage 4 Mandatory TAS and Stage 5 Design and Technology.

The successful applicant will:
Have experience teaching Construction for Years 11 and 12, Stage 4 Mandatory TAS and Stage 5 Design and Technology courses.
Demonstrate a willingness to actively support and promote the Catholic, academic and pastoral dimension of College life.
Be a lifelong learner who is committed to ongoing professional learning.
Lead the development of social skills and nurture the growth of enterprise skills including critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration for each student.
Integrate digital technology as an enabler and accelerator for student learning and professional learning.
Demonstrate understanding of curriculum and best practice pedagogy.
Qualifications and accreditations:
Current Working with Children Check clearance.
Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Tertiary Qualification in Education/Teaching Experience in Learning Support will be a distinct advantage.

The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CSPD's Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working with Students and Children.

If you are not already classified, you will need to complete the online registration for teachers process found on the CSPD website.
