We strive to provide a level of flexibility that matches the needs of the mining industry from complete Greenfields exploration teams for short term contract drilling campaigns, to permanent senior and technical professionals for ASX listed producers and explorers.
MPI have partnered with a rapidly growing mining contractor in Western Australia and are now seeking a highly skilled and technically focused Quarry Manager with a technical focus, to assist in their quarry operations.
This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional who excels in planning, process optimization, innovation, and the technical aspects of quarry management.
The role: Manage and optimize all aspects of quarry operations, with a particular focus on technical efficiency in planning and innovationOversee drilling, blasting, and extraction processes, ensuring maximum resource recovery and cost-efficiencyConduct detailed site evaluations to inform project planning and continuous improvement initiativesLead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, providing technical guidance and support to ensure smooth and safe operationsDevelop, implement, and monitor production schedules and budgets, ensuring cost-effective and timely project deliveryEnsure compliance with all relevant legislation, environmental, and safety regulations, with a focus on best practices and technical excellenceLiaise with the end clients, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships and ensure compliance with technical and safety standards.The requirements: Proven experience in a Quarry Manager role, with a strong focus on the technical aspects of quarrying operations and mine planningEssential: Relevant tertiary qualifications in mining engineering, geology, or a related technical fieldEssential: Unrestricted Quarry Managers certificateComprehensive understanding of quarry processes, including extraction, processing, and site logistics, ideally with a background in gold productionDemonstrated ability to utilize technology and data to improve operational efficiencyStrong knowledge of relevant Australian mining legislation, safety, and environmental regulationsLeadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team of technical and operational professionals.The rewards: The successful applicant will be offered a competitive salary and benefits package, with opportunities for career progression.
