About the Role:
REI Super is seeking a Compliance Analyst to join our team.
This role will provide advice and support on compliance matters, manage the compliance framework, and foster a strong compliance culture across our organisation.
You will work closely with the Compliance Manager to ensure effective oversight of risk and compliance functions, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance:
Assist with monitoring and interpreting relevant legislation, regulations, and guidelines applicable to superannuation funds.
Assist with implementation and maintenance of compliance programs to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
Conduct periodic reviews to assess Trustee Office compliance with laws and regulations.
Policy Development and Implementation:
Contribute to the development and review of compliance policies and procedures.
Ensure alignment with industry best practices and legal requirements.
Communicate policy changes to relevant teams and ensure their understanding and adherence.
Compliance System Management:
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of our compliance management system.
Coordinate the attestation process for staff and external service providers.
Review and validate compliance attestations.
Reporting and Documentation:
Assist with the preparation of compliance reports.
Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, decisions, and actions.
Training and Awareness:
Provide training to Trustee Office staff on compliance matters.
Foster a culture of compliance awareness throughout the Trustee Office.
Assist the Trustee Office team in understanding their compliance obligations and controls.
Engage with internal and external auditors as needed.
Skills & Experience:
Prior experience in superannuation compliance or financial services compliance would be advantageous.
Bachelor's degree in law, finance, business, or a related field.
Experience in conducting presentations and public speaking.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work autonomously and engage stakeholders effectively.
Resilience, adaptability, and a proactive approach.
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and deliver results within tight timeframes.
Focus on outcome delivery and compliance integrity.
Proficiency with Tickit on Demand.
Competence in the use of Microsoft Office Software.
