About the role:
We are currently seeking a Customer Manager to join our Brisbane/Newcastle based team.
This position reports to the Customer Account Executive in our Coal business and will see you manage a portfolio of existing customers.
You are a relationship builder with customer facing experience who combines logistics and commercial acumen with the ability to build and maintain strategic customer relations.
Proactive communication with customers across commercial and operational interfaces.
Identify and lead continuous improvement projects with customers.
Develop and execute strategies for contract renewals; negotiate all contractual variations.
Manage and monitor contract performance to meet or exceed revenue budgets.
Develop systems and reporting to ensure contractual compliance and yield maximisation.
Develop, maintain, and execute account management plans and engagement strategies.
Devise strategies to identify and deliver growth from existing accounts.
Implement joint supply-chain planning with customers to ensure order fulfilment.
About you:
A Degree qualification within a Business or similar discipline.
5+ years relevant experience in a commercial role in a similar industry (mining, energy, industrial or transport sectors an advantage).
Highly resilient with the ability to thrive under pressure and handle competing demands.
Action-orientated with a readiness to challenge the status quo.
Customer and externally orientated, with a talent for innovative customer solutions.
Comfortable with demanding revenue targets and motivated by achieving results.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to influence, collaborate and engage effectively.
Accomplished leader, track record of delivering results through others in the right way.
Deep experience in commercial roles relevant to the coal supply-chain.
Proven negotiation skills, high level of financial literacy with clear commercial acumen.
