Expect all this and more when you join us at BevChain.What does the job look like?Collaborating on an exciting new contract with a leading beverage company, the Transport Allocator is tasked with efficiently implementing the daily load plan across Bulk, Shuttle, and Route, aiming to minimise costs and enhance equipment utilisation across the Melbourne metropolitan area.
Specifically tailored to the Customer Mentone Operation, this position entails collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including BevChain drivers, subcontractors, and the tier one beverage customer to ensure utmost customer satisfaction.
The goal is to optimise all delivery opportunities and establish processes with dispatch/receiving facilities to uphold high levels of on-time performance and continuous improvement.This is an exciting permanent opportunity, operating on the PM shift, Monday – Friday, with overtime available, commencing from 12pm – 8pm.
Given the nature of this 24/7 operation, flexibility in working hours is anticipated, and availability during peak periods is required.
Key areas:Ensure a well-organised transition with the AM Transport Allocator for a seamless processEffectively allocate and schedule drivers/subcontractors predominately to distribution centres and to achieve daily workloads promptly and cost-effectivelySupervise subcontractors and fleet requirements to ensure the timely and cost-effective completion of daily workloadsMaintain close communication and regularly update the on-site customer to ensure seamless executionEnsure all KPI reports are precise and accurate, ensuring their alignment with customer expectationsMaintain and foster a cooperative relationship among operational, transport, and administrative staff within both BevChain and the customerAssist with the management of any additional transport costsDemonstrate a commitment to safety and compliance by actively participating in risk management, audits, work site visits, SWATs, and engaging in discussions with site personnelAre you the one?We are in search of an exceptionally enthusiastic Transport Allocator who excels in a dynamic logistics setting and has had exposure to Bulk transport.
This role, situated at our customer's site, requires someone with a customer service-oriented approach and excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in driver allocation, meticulous attention to detail, and outstanding time management abilities.Demonstrated experience as a Transport Allocator/Scheduler in a busy logistics environmentIn-depth understanding of load configurations, weights, and truck trailer type allocationProficiency in MS Suite and utilising a TMS and WMSExcellent communication and time management skillsAt Linfox, we are passionate about creating an inclusive workplace where people can perform at their best.
