Ipswich Hospital's Mental Health Acute Inpatient Service (MHAIS) provides the local community with a world-class mental health rehabilitation and recovery facility.
Purpose-built and with a focus on recovery and social connection, the $104.6 million Ipswich Hospital's Mental Health Acute Inpatient Service state-of-the-art facility includes spaces for adult patients, older and vulnerable patients, and patients requiring more intensive clinical care.
Among the features are internal green spaces, natural light and a sensory room to encourage wellbeing and recovery, as well as ping pong and chess tables, a gymnasium, and gardening and barbecue facilities.

As the Enrolled Nurse you will support registered nurses in the provision of person and family centred, quality, safe patient care specified by the standards of practice and registration from the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
This care will be evidenced by educational preparation, adhering to relevant legislation and context of care.
The Enrolled Nurse will:
Practice under the direct or indirect supervision of a registered nurse assisting with the care and as delegated by the registered nurse.Seek assistance and support in decision making from a registered nurse.About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Contemporary clinical knowledge and acute mental health inpatient experience.High level of communication skills and ability to escalate issues to a Registered Nurse.Self-management skills, displaying flexibility and adapting to unexpected change.Willing to take instructions and guidance from other team members and a willingness to help and support others to contribute to the successful functioning of the team.Ability to coordinate and deliver quality nursing care, whilst working within a risk management framework and in accordance with professional standards (e.g., infection control, Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia, and Codes & Competency Standards).Respect for the unique and diverse needs of patients, families and people delivering quality, safe patient centred care.Mandatory Requirements: Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.
