The Production Manager is a highly regarded member of the business team focused on delivering the production schedule while meeting product quality standards.
Role:Be the lean champion and drive a culture of continuous improvementEnsure the production schedule is communicated and managed to meet deadlinesPeople resourcing and management to ensure all staff understand and meet productivity expectationsIdentify and maintain quality suppliers to deliver value for money and consistency of lead timesDetermine optimal inventory levels and manage inventory accordinglyLogistics management ensuring all plant and equipment are maintained efficiently and effectivelyEnsure all safety regulations are understood and met by allAbout you:Experience in a production leadership role (ideally steel)Passion for and desire to learn lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologiesAble to lead multi-disciplinary production teamsGood understanding of the financial driversExperience in best practice manufacturing techniquesAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesExperience and ability in manufacturing technical productsCurrent Victorian Driver's LicenseBenefits and Perks:Free onsite parkingGreat team environment with extensive training providedWe're looking for someone who's passionate about manufacturing and is willing to perform their duties at a very high standard.
