Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services are looking for a Nursing Director to join their team.
Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services provide inpatient, hospital-based and community mental health and community alcohol and drug services for all age groups at a number of campuses across Metro South Health.

The Nursing Director provides contemporary strategic, operational and professional nursing leadership and management for the nursing services across the directorate within an expansive and/or complex environment.

About the Role
The Nursing Director provides operational nursing leadership for the Bayside Inpatient Service.
In collaboration with the Director of Nursing, the Nursing Director also provides high-level professional leadership and a consistent approach to the coordination, integration, and implementation of nursing strategic and operational priorities.
The Nursing Director will provide site-specific professional nursing leadership and work with the local leadership teams to support the development, implementation and evaluation of nurse-led programs and nursing strategic priorities.
The role will also support specific service-wide programs and, as part of the Nursing Executive, will contribute to portfolios relating to nursing workforce, professional development, nursing excellence and quality improvement.
Responsible for the achievement of operational and strategic performance targets, evaluations and outcomes in line with operational plans, service targets and national and state benchmarks.
Accountable for coordination of services and standards and application of corporate and clinical governance for Addiction and Mental Health services.
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of contemporary nursing theory and practice and innovative models of care; linking models with monitoring to ensure best practice and implementing strategies to ensure nurses work to full scope of practice.
