As a Financial Crime Compliance Officer, you will review customer profiles, conduct account transaction reviews, and identify AML/CTF red flags to determine if there is a suspicious transaction for the purposes of reporting a SMR to AUSTRAC.
You will need extensive knowledge and prior experience drafting Grounds for Suspicion and completion of all parts of a SMR. You will be responsible for recommending changes to customer risk ratings and endorsing off-boarding decisions in line with company procedures and risk appetite.

What you'll do
Analyse and assess the ML/TF risk in cases escalated from Level 1
Writing a Grounds for Suspicion in a clear and concise manner
Provide sufficient and well reasoned rationale to mitigate all red flags and close a case deemed not suspicious.
Complete all required administration tasks
Participation and contribute to team meetings
Ensuring KPIs and SLAs are adhered to and met
Completion of all mandatory training
Comply with ING policies and procedures
Escalate high priority cases and SLA breaches
What we're looking for
CAMS accreditation highly desirable
A minimum of 2 years' experience in an AML role
Knowledge of the AML/CTF Act and Rules
Able to conduct transactional analysis and customer profiling and clearly articulate in a report a summary of findings which is based on facts and evidence.
Time management skills
Ability to work independently.
Adaptable to change.
Excels in a team environment.
The ability to meet KPIs and consistently complete work to the highest quality.
