The firm acts for domestic and international airlines and logistics companies and is involved in many of the significant legal transactions in the transport sector in Australia and internationally.Do not be discouraged by the specialised nature of the practice, prior transport law experience is not required and this is an opportunity to gain a practice specialisation that will help you stand out from the crowd.About the roleWe're looking for a full-time commercial lawyer with at least 2 years PAE to join our Sydney office.In this role, you will work on a wide variety of commercial transactions for international and domestic airlines, helicopter operators, tourism operators, private jet owners, aviation maintenance organisations, flying schools and other companies in the aviation and logistics sector.The work will include:Advising on the buying, selling, financing and leasing of commercial airline aircraft, private jets, helicopters, drones, ships and other transport equipment in Australia and in other jurisdictions worldwideDrafting charter and other air service agreements for use of aircraftActing on M&A transactions for businesses with a transport focusProviding corporate and commercial adviceNegotiating airport access and pricing agreementsGiving advice on general corporate matters such as shareholders' agreements, joint ventures, and the Corporations ActDrafting supply chain and service agreementsDrafting and negotiating a range of commercial agreementsYou may also get the opportunity to work on transport-related regulatory and litigation matters, if that is your interest.Depending on your level of experience, you will have the freedom to maintain your autonomy while being well supported by the commercial Partners.
