Biostatistician Range: $114,000 to $128,000 Base / Senior Biostatistician Range: $136,000 to $147,000 Base.
We are looking for someone who is ready to make a significant impact in medical research.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Biostatistician or Senior Biostatistician to join our team.
You will be collaborating with Researchers and contributing to studies that advance healthcare and improve patient outcomes.
The Opportunity: The Biostatistician is responsible for the provision of statistical expertise supporting research of The George Institute.
This includes clinical trials, meta analyses, observational studies, surveys and development of new statistical methods.
The Senior Biostatistician is responsible for the design, analysis and reporting of medical research projects conducted by The George Institute not only in Australia but globally.

Our Successful Candidate will possess: Experience in statistical analyses and programming within a medical research environmentExcellent working knowledge of at least one of the main softwares: R, SAS, StataUnderstanding of data management principles and regulatory requirements for clinical trials and medical researchExcellent interpersonal skills with a strong focus on quality and timely delivery of workExperience in working collaboratively in a team with researchers and other statisticiansExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh level problem solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skillsAbility to see the big picture, whilst still maintaining a focus on detail and implementationAbility to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing organisational priorities and ambiguous environmentsStrong focus on quality of work.Flexibility to work non-standard hours of work for collaboration and contact with global teams based on requirements of the positionThe closing date for applications is Thursday 7 November 2024 at 11:59pm AEST.
