About the role:
Rabobank has an opening for Senior Manager, Strategy.
This is a newly created role within a small Strategy team based in Sydney who work a hybrid mix of office and from home.
You will be responsible for identifying, researching and analysing strategic themes and propositions that underpin the corporate strategies for Rabobank in Australia and New Zealand.
You will identify potential strategic risks and opportunities for the bank and analyse the financial and business impact.
This is a hands-on role so you will need to be comfortable working as both a member of the team and leader of business stakeholders.
You will collaborate closely with the Strategy & Transformation Office (STO) to undertake deep dives into strategic themes and problem statements producing high-quality, actionable strategic plans and propositions.
Your work will be in partnership with business stakeholders, ensuring co-created, mutually agreeable, and viable options come to the fore.
In this role you will have the opportunity to develop strategy - and see it through to fruition within the Rabobank Australia & New Zealand region.
Top Role Accountabilities: Contributing to the development of the regional, and country-specific corporate strategies for Rabobank Australia and New ZealandPartnering across the business to develop and refine strategic plansLead cross-functional strategic planning initiatives, supporting company objectives for growth, profitability, and customer experienceAnalysing strategic themes, business and competitor performance on strategically relevant metrics, and strategic opportunitiesApplying strategic tools and frameworks to business risks and opportunitiesUndertaking scenario analysis to determine business and financial impacts of decisions, analysing and providing insight on strategic trends and developments for consideration by key decision makersMonitoring and reporting on progress against strategic plans and initiatives and identifying strategic shifts to meet business objectivesProactively scanning the market and the external operating environment for risks and opportunities and identifying potential themes for deeper investigationSupporting the Regional Head of Strategy in preparing business and corporate strategies and Board/Executive strategic discussion documents To be successful, you will have: 10+ years financial services experience, commercially driven with a proven ability to deliver financial resultsExperience with a consultancy or in a strategic consulting capacityDemonstrated commercial and financial literacy and the ability to independently analyse results and develop actionable insights and strategic data-driven recommendationsA solid understanding of the commercial landscape, competitive and regulatory environments.
