Civil Engineering Team Leader - ( 240003XZ )
Description We are seeking a Team Leader with urban, land or subdivision experience to join our Community Development team of engineers, designers and drafters in our Perth office.
In this role you will manage the civil design and documentation on a variety of urban, land and subdivision projects in both the public and private sectors, across an extensive local and regional client portfolio.
You will have the opportunity to resolve design constraints, coordinating projects, interfacing with various disciplines and delivering projects with the support of a multi-disciplinary team dispersed across the state.
In this Team Leader role, you will have the opportunity to be the 2IC for technical design, section management and strategic direction of this team.
You will represent the company externally to Clients and play a senior and active role in managing these relationships.
You will enjoy a diverse position and will need to have the ability to multitask and share your time between project involvement, business development, group performance, staff management and management responsibilities.
Day to day tasks would involve : Design, coordination and project management of urban, land and subdivision projects, from feasibility through to deliveryPrepare technical reports and specificationsProvide technical expertise to clients and support projectsManage projects including scheduling and the preparation of project budgetsCoordinate between disciplines on multidisciplinary projectsUndertake and manage site inspectionsContribute to the development of Stantec's knowledge and skills in civil engineering including planning, design, and constructionMentoring engineers, designers, and drafters to enable them to perform successfully at all levels.Direct line management of a teamMaintain existing and develop new, trusted relationships with key clientsAssist in the securing and delivery of projects by way of business development and client relationship managementTo be successful for this role you'll need : Bachelor of Civil EngineeringDemonstrated experience in civil engineering design and the delivery of projects, ideally within urban, land and subdivisionsExperience and a sound understanding of current civil engineering technologies, including design, modelling and constructionProject management skillsWell-developed written and verbal communication skills including report writing.Relevant registration and professional accreditationsTeam leadership and mentoring experienceWhat we offer Genuine Flexible Working Arrangements - Including work from home opportunities, provision for school term contracts, job sharing and part time employment.Option to purchase up to 4 weeks additional leave.Learning and Talent Development Programs - Including Global programmes, online learning and on-the-job learningMentoring for your own development and the opportunity to mentor othersA friendly team environment, with dedicated and enthusiastic staff committed to producing high quality service and deliverablesProfessional MembershipsSalary Continuance Insurance (SCI)Mental Health and Wellbeing ProgramsService Recognition AwardsEmployee Assistance ProgramAbout Stantec The Stantec community unites approximately 31,000 employees working in over 400 locations across six continents.
