About the Role
As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the clients financial strategy and operational excellence.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be hands-on in financial management, consolidations, technical accounting, and reporting.
You will also work closely with portfolio companies, mentoring their financial teams and adding value where appropriate.
Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing financial reporting, board packs, and statutory compliance Leading technical accounting, cash flow management, and management reporting Managing the annual audit and liaising with external advisors Mentoring portfolio CFOs and helping scale their businesses Hands-on involvement in investor relations, ensuring accurate financial reporting This role offers the opportunity to balance strategic leadership with practical execution in a dynamic but focused organisation.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking an experienced finance leader with:
CA/CPA qualification and strong technical accounting expertise A team player who works well with others in a supportive environment Proven experience as a CFO and senior finance executive, ideally in private markets or similar growth environments but ASX experience is also highly valued Minimum 15 years + diverse accounting experience in senior positions – the more experience the better
Consolidations (proportional consolidations and statutory consolidations), cash flow management, advanced financial modelling skills and data manipulation skills (think TM1, power BI) M&A exposure, particularly in due diligence and deal structuring, is highly desirable Exceptional communication skills to effectively explain complex financial concepts in simple terms to diverse stakeholders A hands-on approach, with the ability to mentor teams and manage key operational functions, including payroll and board reporting If this role sounds of interest, please don't delay applying and we look forward to reviewing your application.
