Description The Communications and Content Advisor will be responsible for supporting the Marketing Manager and Strategic Communications Manager in developing and executing comprehensive marketing and communication strategies.
The role will support driving awareness, engagement, and supporting fundraising strategies to achieve the organisation's mission.
This position requires a creative and strategic thinker who can contribute to the identification and prioritisation of key target audiences, develop effective messaging and content, as well as implement and analyse campaigns across a variety of communications channels.
This role will work closely with other departments across the organisation, as well as external vendors and partners, to ensure alignment with organisational goals and consistency in brand positioning and messaging.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Marketing Strategy Support the Marketing Manager in the development, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive marketing plans aligned with company values, strategic direction, mission and vision.Track, analyse and prepare regular reports on marketing metrics to continually improve marketing efforts and drive results.Support the Marketing Manager to identify and prioritise key target audiences, develop effective messaging and content, and implement and analyse campaigns across a variety of communications channels.Work across departments within the organisation, as well as with external vendors and partners, to produce marketing and social media content.Support the Strategic Communications Manager by developing and executing communication materials in support of the strategic communications plan including regular newsletter and bulletin content and social media posts.Support the development and execution of new communications initiatives.Maintain website and digital channels.Produce content for and make regular updates to the companies external and internal facing websites to support the marketing and communications strategies.Merchandising Support the Marketing Manager by assisting in the selection, design and administration of corporate and member merchandising materials.Maintain and update the online merchandise shop.Events Management The Marketing and Communications Advisor will assist in the management and administration of marketing events, working with both internal and external stakeholders, and supporting both the Marketing and the Stakeholder and Partner Relations teams.Key relationships Chief Development OfficerMarketing ManagerStrategic Communications ManagerStakeholder and Partnerships ManagerInternal DRA staff, potentially including volunteers.External stakeholders as required.Capabilities for the role Resourcefulness Adapt existing skills to new situations.Show commitment to achieving work goals.Show awareness of own strengths and areas for growth and develop and apply new skills.Seek feedback from colleagues and stakeholders.Maintain own motivation when tasks become difficult.Experience working in defence will be highly regarded.Customer Focus Support a culture of quality customer service in the organisation.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the services provided and relay to customers.Identify and respond quickly to customer needs.Consider customer service requirements and develop solutions to meet needs.Resolve complex customer issues and needs.Co-operate across work areas to improve outcomes for customers.Drives Results Complete own work tasks under guidance, within set budgets, timeframes and standards.Take the initiative to progress own work.Identify resources needed to complete allocated work tasks.Seek clarification when unsure of work tasks.Tech Savvy Apply computer applications that enable performance of more complex tasks.Apply practical skills in the use of relevant technology.Make effective use of records, information and knowledge management functions and systems.Understand and comply with information and communications security and acceptable use policies.Support the implementation of systems improvement initiatives and the introduction and roll-out of new technologies.Why Join Us?
