Middle Primary Classroom Teacher – Full-time, OngoingChrist the King is a double stream Catholic Primary School with classes from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6 and a wonderful vibrant Special Needs Learning Support Centre. The school is situated 6 kilometres from the Fremantle harbour and 1 minute from the heart of Fremantle. Our school is set in a beautiful setting surrounded by trees and family homes. The School enjoys a close relationship with the Parish and the strong support of the parent community. Together with a comprehensive academic curriculum, Christ the King places strong emphasis on community and on excellence in teaching and learning.
Selection CriteriaApplications are invited from enthusiastic and innovative educators with the following attributes:
Be a practising Catholic and fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education.Be an exemplary, enthusiastic educator who works well with their peers to plan for and implement teaching programs that improve student outcomes.A comprehensive knowledge of the West Australian Curriculum with the ability to organise, select and design content for effective teaching and differentiated learning.Have a sense of humour.Competent use of digital technologies, and inquiry-based learning that engages students in a contemporary learning environment.Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills that create a supportive and safe learning environment.Understand the importance of developing positive relationships with children, staff and parents and can demonstrate evidence of such actions.Demonstrate an ability to take on extra roles and be involved in extra-curricular activities.Qualifications RequiredRelevant four year tertiary qualification.Accreditation to Teach Religious Education Learning Area.Any extra skill sets that meet the needs of the school will be taken into consideration.
