Unique opportunity for an Allied Health Assistant (Physiotherapy Department) at Caulfield Hospital Rehabilitation Services:
Fixed-Term, Full Time until 30 June 202580 hours per fortnight plus ADOsAllied Health Assistant Grade 2 or 3 Classification (IN29/IN30) dependent on experienceCaulfield Hospital LocationFlexible hours upon negotiationThe Department Alfred Health's Physiotherapy Department provides acute physiotherapy services to the patients of The Alfred and Sandringham Hospital and subacute physiotherapy services to Caulfield Hospital.
The physiotherapy service at Caulfield Hospital provides an extensive range of inpatient and ambulatory services in the areas of rehabilitation, aged care and residential care services.
The Role The Allied Health Assistant (AHA) (Physiotherapy - CH) is located on site at Caulfield Hospital and is one of several AHA positions within the Physiotherapy department.
The overall objective of the position is to provide therapy support services to individuals and groups as directed by the physiotherapist.
Primarily the AHA (Physiotherapy - CH) will assist the physiotherapist through the completion of tasks such as:
Assisting the physiotherapist with assessment and treatment, whether in an individual or group setting.Providing exercise, mobility and activity programs as prescribed by the physiotherapist.The delivery of equipment and the completion of the associated paperwork as prescribed by the health professional.The coordination and organisation of services upon discharge as prescribed by the physiotherapist.Administrative duties that assist the physiotherapist such as the entering of statistics, and the ordering and stocking of equipment.Skills/Qualifications Required Certificate III or higher qualification as an Allied Health Assistant, Registered Nurse, Certified Fitness Instructor or Personal CareDiploma, Associate Diploma or higher qualification in a relevant health science area as determined by the ManagerCertificate courses in a relevant health science area as determined by the ManagerOverseas Allied Health Qualifications – minimum qualification is a completed diploma in a recognised disciplineAllied Health undergraduate student in relevant discipline having completed a minimum of one year of studyStaff Benefits Access to Salary Packaging and Novated LeasingHealth and well-being initiatives in addition to discounted health insuranceStaff Carparking (subject to availability)Onsite gym (Alfred Hospital)If you would like any further details, please contact Catherine Brooks, Stream Leader - Neurological Stream on Applications close: Friday, 13th December 2024 Alfred Health is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to attracting and retaining a diverse workforce that reflects the community we serve.
