Melbourne Teaching Health Clinics (MTHC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Melbourne and provides world class clinical training opportunities for the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences students.
It also provides patient access to high quality health care for members of the Victorian community, within a private practice setting.
There are six clinical areas that are central to this service, and they include general medical practice, dentistry, optometry, audiology, speech pathology and psychology.

You will be a pivotal member of MTHC, playing a crucial role in supporting the CEO in shaping and driving our company's vision across all teaching health clinics and operations in Carlton and Shepparton.

Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MTHC, the responsibilities of the COO include but are not limited to:
Leadership and Performance Provide visionary leadership to drive organisational excellence, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and positive patient outcomes while mentoring and developing Senior Leaders.Spearhead strategic initiatives to enhance operational capabilities, implement innovative technologies, and cultivate business growth, aligning with key performance metrics and organisational goals.Deputising for the CEO when necessary.Strategic and Operational Planning Lead the translation of strategic priorities into operational excellence, developing and implementing innovative service models while managing risks and opportunities to drive growth.Oversee the delivery of operational plans across all Clinics, collaborating with key stakeholders and reporting regularly to the Board and relevant committees to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.Governance Ensure robust governance practices, regulatory compliance, and ethical standards across the organisation, providing expert advice to the Board and CEO on governance matters and supporting Board effectiveness.Facilities and Information Technology Management Oversee Occupational Health & Safety, IT infrastructure, and facilities management, ensuring optimal operational efficiency and service delivery to patients and clinical supervision programs.Lead strategic partnerships and system improvements to enhance IT services, while managing facilities staff to maintain and upgrade clinic infrastructure.About youThe Selection Criteria is designed to assess the candidate's suitability for the position.
