Staff Specialist Palliative Care – West Moreton Hospital And Health Service

Government - State (Government & Defence) This is a permanent position of FTE 1.0 based at Ipswich Hospital and the Ripley Sub-acute Facility.
The purpose of this role is to provide Specialist Palliative Care services to patients requiring palliative care in the West Moreton Health Service District.
The bulk of this role will be to provide a Palliative Care Consult service to inpatients in the Ipswich Hospital as well as outpatient clinics.
However, duties may rotate between Palliative Care SMOs and there may be an opportunity to undertake other Specialist Palliative Care services incorporated into this role, including managing patients across inpatient, outpatient, and community Palliative Care services in West Moreton Health.
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated interpersonal skills which allow effective communication in a multi-disciplinary environment.Demonstrated knowledge of safety and quality assurance initiatives, as well as the ability to conduct audits and data analysis of key outcome measures.Experience in relevant areas of inpatient and outpatient care.A sound knowledge of contemporary Human Resource issues including time management, Workplace Health & Safety, Equal Employment Opportunity, Anti-discrimination, and Code of Conduct.Benefits: 17.5% annual leave loading (Additional allowances / entitlements may apply)12.75% employer contribution to superannuationTo read more on how West Moreton Health is committed to transforming and optimising our care to meet the health care needs of our growing and diverse community, follow this link.
