We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electronics Engineer to join our growing team.As the Electronics Engineer at AIM Defence, you will play a crucial role in leading the design, development, and implementation of embedded solutions for our cutting-edge defence technologies.
We are looking for candidates who are flexible, adaptable, and available to work onsite at our Melbourne facility.What You'll doWork as part of a team to design, develop, and optimise embedded systems for high-performance defence applicationsWrite, modify, and debug software for embedded systems and microcontrollersProduce PCB designs, create simulations, and source components/vendorsDocument research, development, and testing processes to ensure quality and maintainabilityCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define software requirements and specificationsContribute to system architecture discussions and decisionsProvide technical support and mentorship to fellow team membersParticipate in project planning, estimation, and schedulingWhat You'll bringBachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechatronics/Computer Engineering, or related discipline2+ years of experience in C and embedded software development2+ years of experience in electrical design and manufactureExperience working with real-time operating systems and microcontrollersExperience working with PCB design (Altium, KiCAD, etc)Strong knowledge of embedded communication interfaces (SPI, UART, I2C, CAN, Ethernet)Proficient with source control and configuration management systemsExcellent time management and prioritization skillsStrong problem-solving abilities and attention to detailAs a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain a Baseline clearance.This role is required onsite, and you will be required under the Victorian Government mandate to provide proof of vaccination in accordance with the mandate.How You'll BenefitExciting projects and industry-leading innovationsProfessional learning and development opportunitiesOpportunity to innovate and work in a fast-paced teamChallenges at the edge of what's possibleWe are committed to ensuring diversity; inclusion and equality are embedded throughout our organisation for the benefit of our customers and our team.
