Female Disability Support Worker – Dandenong Independent Living Victoria

Our client has requested to work with females Support Workers only.The Independent Living Victoria team share and believe that the most important goal is to ensure our clients receive the best high-quality care and value available.

It is important for all our care staff to demonstrate reliability and commitment as our clients rely heavily on them to assist them with daily tasks and activities.Benefits of working with ILV• Attractive remuneration• Weekly pay cycle• Variety of shifts – mornings, evenings and overnights.
Long and short shifts• Our matching process is designed to build long term relationships between support workers and participants• Ongoing support from the entire ILV team• Extensive in-person and onsite training as requiredThe role may involve:• Personal care (showering, toileting, and personal hygiene assistance)• Manual handling and/or the use of equipment to support mobility (wheelchairs or hoists)• Transportation and supporting social engagement• Light domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaningOur ideal candidate will have:• Professional or lived experience supporting someone with a disability• Experience in providing high level care• Experience using a hoist• Flexible and good availabilityEssential criteria:• An understanding of the disability/community services sector and person-centred support• Transferable life/work skills along with a caring and compassionate approach• A valid driver's license• NDIS Worker Screening Check• The legal right to work in Australia• Current Police Check• Current CPR & First Aid certificate or willing to obtain• Excellent communication skills• A genuine interest in the wellbeing & inclusion of people with disabilities#J-18808-Ljbffr
