Position OverviewOur client is seeking a Structural Engineer for their modern office in Launceston, Tasmania.
As a Structural Engineer contributing to the delivery of innovative structural projects across Tasmania, you'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring that projects meet budget and timeline requirements while participating in all phases of development, from initial design to construction administration.
Due to the size and population of Tasmania, project type, size and value will vary giving you the chance to work on an amazing range of projects, across numerous industries including; Social Infrastructure (Hospitals, Schools, Universities), Commercial facilities (Multistory Offices, Shopping Centers, Custom Retail Stores), Warehousing, Industrial Facilities, Marine Structures and much more.

Passionate about innovation and sustainability in engineering design, you have previous experience with similar projects in Australia, and you're now ready for a position in a small city with lots to offer.
Your Key Responsibilities Actively coordinate and collaborate with teams to deliver structural projects within budget and time constraints.Assist in preparing fee submissions and maintain strategic client relationships.Engage in all project phases, from feasibility and concept design to detailed design and construction oversight.Work on a variety of projects involving reinforced, post-tensioned, and precast concrete, masonry, steel, and timber structures.Gain exposure to both private and public sector projects, including health, education, commercial, and civil infrastructure.Mentor junior engineers and design staff within a supportive team environment.Continuously enhance your skills through training and professional development opportunities.Ideally, You Will Have Previous engineering experience with a consultancy in Australia.Hold or be eligible for CPEng with Engineers Australia.Expertise in designing commercial concrete and steel single and multi-storey structures, including post-tensioned buildings.A solid understanding of relevant Australian Standards, Codes of Practice, and the building approval process.Proficiency in software such as ETABS and/or SpaceGas.Strong communication skills for liaising with clients, architects, building surveyors, contractors, and councils.The ability to write clear and concise reports and specifications.Benefits An attractive salary package commensurate with experience.Relocation assistance for the successful candidate, which may cover removalists, flights, short-term accommodation, or pet transportation.Participation in the company's profit-sharing scheme and flexible working options.Opportunities for professional development and training.An energetic team atmosphere and a supportive company culture.If you think you have what it takes, but don't necessarily meet every single point, please still get in touch.
