Queensland Corrective Services (Organisation site: ) Wolston Correctional Centre; Custodial Operations; Statewide Operations; WacolTo ensure a high level of community safety through the coordination and delivery of approved general and/or sexual offending programs to those offenders assessed as requiring offender intervention programs.In this role you will:Participate in planning activities to ensure offenders have timely access to appropriate programs and interventionsAdminister appropriate assessments to offenders and prepare offenders for offender intervention programsEnsure offender program activities are consistent with evidence-based practice and deliver offender intervention programs in accordance with operational plansMonitor progress of offenders during programs and related activities and report on progressComply with program management procedures, standards and guidelinesIdentify and respond appropriately to risks arising from offender assessment and managementMaintain own level of knowledge of contemporary offender programs research and practices, and legislation, policy and procedures in relation to offender managementParticipate in case management activities as required for offenders assessed as requiring program participationProvide timely information to relevant sites in relation to each offender's participation in programs for case managementMonitor offender management files and programs to ensure continuity and consistency, ensuring records and information data for the Integrated Offender Management system (IOMS) and the Offender Programs Assessment Service (OPAS) are accurate and currentEnsure maintenance, accuracy and appropriateness of records and intervention reports for appropriate authoritiesMaintain program data, analyse assessment results and record informationProvide advice to relevant officers regarding offender program suitability and/or other intervention activitiesContribute to case management and sentence management activities for offendersSupport, coach and develop staff to effectively conduct their duties and identify opportunities for supporting colleagues in the effective delivery of programsCompletion of Agency Supervisor and program facilitator trainingProvide supervision in accordance with Accountability Standards and QCS supervision model/approachEnsure the timely provision of program impact reports and advice to courts, parole boards and other agencies regarding offendersPromote value of offender programs through effective collaboration with internal and external professional networksDevelop productive relationships with service providers and the community generally to enhance the community's regard for offender programsEnsure the safety and security of self and others and the security and confidentiality of QCS property and information.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Further informationWe are committed to building inclusive cultures in the Queensland public sector that respect and promote human rights and diversity.Please ensure you download all attachments and follow the instructions on how to apply.DocumentsBefore applying for this vacancy please ensure you read the documents below.603989-24-Role Profile (PDF, 536KB)603989-24-Applicant-Information-Guide-QCS (PDF, 309KB)#J-18808-Ljbffr
