As representatives of the University, they assist with the delivery of events and activities that engage future students. These include outreach activities, student recruitment events, on-campus days, call campaigns, career expos, and mentoring. These activities offer opportunities for future students to discover Notre Dame and increase their understanding of university, degrees, support services, admission pathways and more.Student Ambassadors are employed as casual staff at Notre Dame, provided with induction and training for the role, and offered work on an ad hoc basis throughout the year based on their availability and skill set. Student ambassadors are paid at the HEW2.1 hourly rate in New South Wales and Western Australia. The role may require travel to and from high schools and other venues across either Greater Sydney, Perth or Broome.Student ambassadors regularly work with students from groups that are traditionally underrepresented at university, such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, students from low socio-economic areas, students from regional and remote areas, and students who would be the first in their family to attend university.
