Generation Technician

LMS Energy is Australia's largest emissions reducer and the national leader in biogas-to-energy and solar on landfill.
LMS Energy requires the services of a part-time Generator/Electrical Technician to be based in the North West region of Melbourne VIC.
You will be required to report to the Generation Manager where your role will primarily involve providing electrical support on landfill biogas-to-energy and solar projects, as well as servicing new innovation projects including Data Centre's and Anaerobic Digesters.

Responsibilities:
Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance work
Coordinate, program and commission LMS biogas plant and equipment
Develop commissioning plans, testing and verification checklists, and post project closeout plans
Provide technical support during and after hours to the Operations Group
Apply a wholistic and hands-on approach to fault finding field equipment
Oversee electrical spares and stock holding at each site/warehouse
Apply an understanding and application of relevant standards, codes and guidelines
Requirements:
A team player, great work ethic, shows initiative, resilient and committed with strong communication skills
Electrical trade qualifications – 'A' Grade Electrician
A minimum of 5+ years working experience
Cert III or Cert IV in Instrumentation also desirable
Experience in Hazardous Area (EEHA) is desirable
Experience in PLC Controls and switchboard manufacturing is desirable
Strong knowledge of safety and electrical regulations
Uphold LMS' company values and culture
Hold a current Australian driver's license
Regular intrastate travel is required
Fitness for work to perform the job role safely and competently
