About the role The Senior Analyst, Finance plays a pivotal role in guiding the Power Generation and Development business through accurate forecasting, planning, and high-quality financial insights.
This role also monitors investment performance, supports new business initiatives, and drives financial success by enhancing visibility into key metrics.
What you'll do Contribute to accurate and timely forecasting activity across the Generation & Development business through collaborating with stakeholders to align projections with business performance and goals and developing (as required)/reviewing models for accuracy and relevanceEvaluate and monitor investments/initiatives to ensure returns are aligned with forecasts and expectations, supporting decision-making with data-backed insightsContribute to monthly management reporting to provide insight into business performancePreparation of monthly invoices in line with Power Purchase AgreementsDrive process improvements across the finance function, embracing new tools like Oracle PBF and Power BI for enhanced data visualisation and reporting.Your experience Relevant qualifications in Commerce, Finance, Business, Economics, or Mathematics.
Professional memberships (e.g., CPA, CFA) would be complementaryHighly organised self-starter capable of managing multiple competing priorities and projects, including handling ad hoc requestsExcellent computer skills, using multiple software (Power BI an advantage) and advanced MS Excel skills, with an ability to manipulate and work with large data setsStrong attention to detail, demonstrating analytical and critical thinking capabilities that drive quality decision making as well as process improvementsSolid analytical experience, ideally in energy or capital-intensive industries, with robust financial modelling skills coupled with the ability to communicate and present insights in a concise manner to senior stakeholdersThis role suits a self-motivated, data savvy Senior Analyst who thrives in a small team and enjoys working with large data sets.
You'll collaborate with various stakeholders to uncover insights that drive quality forecasts and analysis, supporting key business decisions.
