VCE Biology Teacher Background: Casey Grammar School is a Foundation to Year 12 School with a proven reputation for providing quality education.

We have had Primary School teachers shortlisted for this award in 2023 and 2024 and our Principal was a finalist for School Principal of the Year (Non-Government) in 2022 and 2023.
We have one teacher who features on the Educator Hot List 2023 and two Casey Grammar School staff were recognized as Most Influential Educators in 2023 and one in 2024.

Role Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic VCE Biology teacher.
This is a full time 12-month contract position with the possibility of ongoing employment.
The role commences in January 2025.
The teaching load includes Unit 1/2 Biology, Junior Sciences and one Junior Mathematics class.
Role Description: Role model and inspire a passion for the Sciences (particularly Biology) in all students.Use teaching strategies based on sound knowledge of students' physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics to improve student learning.Contribute to the academic growth of each student through data informed practice.Actively engage in the School's Thrive (Teacher Performance Development) Program.Establish and maintain respectful, collaborative relationships with parents/carers regarding their children's learning and wellbeing.Establish and maintain respectful, collaborative relationships with colleagues.The Candidate: The successful candidate will have:
Skill and interest in teaching VCE Biology, Junior Science and/or Junior Mathematics.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus time management skills.Knowledge and understanding of best practice in education.Skilled in creating a warm, welcoming and productive classroom environment.Ability to foster and promote positive relationships with all stakeholders (students, colleagues, parents and the wider community).Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as part of a team.A role-model of lifelong learning.What we Offer: Casey Grammar School is focused on providing a supportive and inclusive work environment that values hard work, dedication and workplace enjoyment/satisfaction.
