The Group Environmental & Social (E&S) team defines how we fulfil this goal, and works across the Bank to deliver it.
The team sits within Financial Services (FS) and collaborates closely with senior leaders across the Bank.
The role sits in our Net Zero and Nature team , within the Environmental & Social team , and develops the Group's approach to net zero and nature across our portfolio.
The team is responsible for developing financed and facilitated emissions methodologies, approaches to measure impacts and dependencies of our lending portfolio on nature, sector level financed emissions targets and strategies, and policy enablers to deliver on our commitments.
We also support opportunities for collaboration on climate and nature.

As an Analyst/Senior Analyst - Net Zero and Nature , you will work with the Senior Manager and the broader team to support the bank's environmental strategy and commitments with respect to the net zero transition and nature related impacts and dependencies of our lending portfolio.
You will provide climate and analytical expertise to enable the achievement of our climate metrics, targets, and strategies.
You will maintain strong connections with sustainability experts across the Bank.
As a trusted advisor, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business to guide decision making and drive the implementation of the Bank's environmental strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Providing analysis and recommendations to support continuous improvement to the scope, coverage, and automation of our climate and nature related reporting.
Translate and design processes and methodology to support delivery of climate and nature reporting, in line with emerging standards and frameworks such as Partnership of Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF), International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS), and Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD).
Supporting the development of environmental commitments, such as our sector-level financed emissions targets.
Working across the Group to provide climate-related insights, analytical support, and strategy.
Conducting research into emerging climate and nature trends to help inform the Group's position on the net zero transition and nature.
We're interested in hearing from people who have one or more of the following:
Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts in simple language.
Demonstrated Analytics, modelling, and/or visualisation experience (e.g.
Python, SQL, Excel, Tableau, Alteryx or equivalent).
Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g.
finance, science, or engineering).
An understanding of current frameworks and guidance on climate (including greenhouse gas emissions and natural capital) and implications for financial institutions is desired but not mandatory.
