OverviewSusquehanna is looking for a Senior Linux Systems Engineer to join our growing Infrastructure team in Sydney.
This role is varied and will leverage your in-depth knowledge of Linux and associated hardware and software to maintain and optimise our systems.
This role provides a positive and enthusiastic candidate the opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies, including provisioning, configuration management, virtualisation, storage, networking, and more.
This role requires some, but rare, after hours and on-call work.

What you'll do
Support and optimise our APAC Linux estate; continuously improve our tools and pipelines to ensure that our systems scale as the company grows.
Gain in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of hardware and software configuration applicable to the trading space; OS optimisation, NICs & kernel tuning, Core isolation.
Work with/implement/support tooling/systems such as Puppet, Ansible, Openstack, VMWare, Kafka, Kubernetes, and a suite of monitoring/logging/reporting tools (CheckMK, Nagios, Prometheus, ELK, and more).
Support and administer our storage and backup network infrastructure (Various SAN, NAS, DAS technologies such as NetAPP, Pure, GPFS & Vast).
Lead major projects in the region such as rolling out new trading platforms, deploying new solutions as required by the business, and automating/enhancing existing systems.

What we're looking for
A Linux engineer who puts their team first and loves collaborating as much as they love deploying great systems and understanding how things work.
Solid experience administering and working with Linux systems and associated tooling - knowledge of Data Centres/Hardware/trading systems is an advantage.
Solid and demonstrable skills with programming/scripting in Bash, Python, or any other languages.
Automation-focused with a proven track record of designing/delivering end-to-end systems and solutions.
