Position Overview:We require the services of a dynamic, high performing Senior Project Manager to take the lead and work across various projects located throughout Australia and potentially Overseas.
This role will report to the General Manager of Operations and will be based at Mancala's Head Office in Notting Hill and will require some site travel.
The role assumes complete ownership of profit and loss, strategic direction, project delivery, client relationships and the leadership and growth of direct reports.Working on multifaceted projects involving mechanical, civil and mining activities.Opportunity to work on projects for mines, energy producers and in civil construction.Not always site based, with periods where you will be involved in project planning, tender review and projects budgeting.The core duties include:Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Understanding and managing Contractual Obligations.Ensuring compliance and management in accordance with the tender model.Ensuring the project's performance is to the company's overall operating strategy and standards.Being responsible for the safety and environmental requirements of the project.Maintaining overall authority in the determination of all matters affecting the implementation and operation of quality practices on the Project.Ensuring plant and equipment allocated to the project is maintained to achieve budgeted availabilities, unit operating costs and planned operating lives.Ensuring project tasks are planned far enough in advance and reviewed with relevant stakeholders to avoid project delays, exposure to hazards or re-work.Preparation and updating of project schedules.Providing leadership, direction and regular communication to employees.Understanding the obligations of both Mancala and the Client under the contract.Daily, weekly and monthly reporting in accordance with Company and Client requirements.Managing Client Relationships and Expectations.Requirements:Qualifications in Project Management or Engineering and knowledge of Project Management methodologies.Experience in an operational and management role.Competent in the use of Microsoft project or other scheduling tool.Competent in the use of Pronto or equivalent accounting software with understanding of project cost coding and forward cost estimating.Strong leadership skills including good communication and delegation.Effective planning and organising skills including establishment of goals, setting priorities, schedule activities and arrange necessary resources.Demonstrate high-level communication and interpersonal skills.Working rights in Australia.Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.Ability to pass Pre-employment Medical and National Police Clearance.Conditions:Monday to Friday working hours excluding when required onsite.Competitive Remuneration.Suburban Office location - avoid the city commute.How to apply:If you're interested in this role, please click on the apply button to submit your resume along with a cover letter containing any relevant certificates/qualifications you may have or you can apply directly by emailing .
