PHYSIOTHERAPIST Experience – at least 2 years' part-time or full-time equivalent post-graduate musculoskeletal experience within the last 5 years and working in an Accredited Physiotherapy Setting.
Work type – Part–time and Full–time positions available across 2 locations (Robertson and Darwin Health Centres) Location – Darwin Health Centre, Winnellie, NT Categories – Allied Health, Physiotherapy Attractive hourly rates + Superannuation + Sign-on Bonus + Relocation Support Working Hours (*part-time) – Tuesday and Thursday 0730 – 1600 ABOUT THE ROLE As the Physiotherapist , you will be responsible for the provision of – Comprehensive Physiotherapy Services: Take charge of providing a diverse array of evidence-based physiotherapy assessments, treatments, and rehabilitative services, catering to a wide spectrum of musculoskeletal injuries commonly encountered by ADF members.
Collaborative Approach: Embrace a collaborative mindset, working closely with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of care.
Together, we'll prioritize goal-focused strategies, emphasizing measurable outcomes that facilitate the swift and effective recovery of our patients.
Holistic Care: Recognize the importance of holistic care in optimizing the health and well-being of ADF Personnel.
Your contributions will extend beyond the immediate treatment of injuries, encompassing strategies for prevention, rehabilitation, and ongoing support to promote long-term health and resilience.
Evidence-Based Practice: Uphold the highest standards of practice by integrating the latest evidence-based techniques and modalities into your treatment plans.
By staying abreast of advancements in the field, you'll continually enhance the quality and effectiveness of the care we provide.
Patient-Centred Approach: Place the needs and preferences of our patients at the forefront of your practice.
Through active listening, empathy, and clear communication, you'll empower ADF members to actively participate in their rehabilitation journey, fostering a sense of ownership and accountability for their health.
ABOUT THE HEALTH CENTRE Darwin Health Centre is located at RAAF Base Darwin, 6.5km north-east of the city sharing a runway with Darwin International Airport.
Major exercises are held in the Northern Territory every year, with RAAF Base Darwin undertaking a major support role.
The health centre has a routine dependency of approximately 520 members and surges up to an additional 1500 Australian and International Defence members twice a year for the Air Force exercises.
The facility provides general nursing, mental health, physiotherapy, and pharmaceutical services.
Standard operating hours are generally 0730-1600 Monday – Thursday depending on role requirements, and a half day 0730 – 1330 Friday.
ABOUT YOU As the ideal applicant, you will have – At least 2 years' part-time or full-time equivalent post-graduate musculoskeletal experience within the last 5 years, and working in an Accredited Physiotherapy Setting.
