We utilise a trauma-informed, culturally safe, assertive case management model to respond to challenges experienced by young people aged 12–17 years, supporting them to engage in education.Working collaboratively with partner agencies, you will directly support a caseload of disengaged learners.
You will undertake comprehensive assessments, establish and lead a care team and work together with children and families to establish individualised education re-engagement plans.It is a unique opportunity where you can work with young people and support them on their journey to reengage in education without rigid time frames.Benefits of working at UnitingThe position is part-time (0.8 FTE), and we have some flexibility around days and start and finish times; talk to us about what you are looking for, and we'll see if we can make it work.In addition to a base salary of SCHADS Level 5 + super, you'll also receive 17.5% leave loading and the ability to increase your take-home pay by accessing up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits, which can be used for living expenses such as groceries, bills, clothing, streaming services, and much more.With our meal entertainment benefit of $2,650 annually, you can save on dining out and drinks, making the most of your pre-tax dollars.At Uniting, you can also receive a 10% discount on the childcare subsidy gap fee at Uniting Early Learning.Your skills and experienceYou will also bring with you:Demonstrated experience in case management working with young people and families.A relevant qualification (Bachelor or Diploma) in social work, psychology or a related discipline.Knowledge of family services, child protection and the Department of education and training, including relevant legislation and regulations.Knowledge and understanding of trauma informed and culturally competent practice, including knowledge and application of therapeutic parenting practices.An understanding of the barriers experienced by disengaged learners.Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with other services, agencies and professionals to achieve optimal client outcomes.How to applyClick APPLY to submit your interest and we'll be in touch shortly.If this role sounds like a good fit for you, apply soon.
