By understanding the data that is relevant to decision making and providing in-depth analysis where necessary, Finance & Procurement supports the strong functioning of the Agency Management Committee, Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee, the National Executive, all fifteen National Boards, and our co-regulatory partners.This is a full-time fixed term position based in our Melbourne, Brisbane offices, working a hybrid arrangement.In this role you will: Support Finance Business Partners in the preparation of analysis and commentary on financial performance for allocated Directorates and/or National Boards.Provide financial and accounting support to Senior Finance Business Partners, strategic finance, financial control, and procurement.Ensure quality transactional input to all systems.Undertake the month-end accounting and reporting process, including the development of complex journals, review/analysis of financial results, and other month-end activities.Develop budgets and ongoing financial forecasts (and associated data).Prepare and deliver scheduled reports to stakeholders including Directorates, National Boards, and management.Actively support a continuous improvement culture, both on a personal and team level (challenging the status quo).As the ideal candidate, you will demonstrate the following:Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting and CPA/CA qualification (or actively working towards this).Experience in management accounting activities, including month-end processes and providing analysis of financial outcomes.Experience in report preparation.High level of written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.Active participation in process improvement activities.Experience in work environments where a high level of attention to detail is required.Previous experience with Board reporting and managing financial budgets for projects (desirable).Experience using Anaplan or similar programs (desirable).What we offer:A friendly and supportive working culture.Discounts on Private Health Insurance.Great flexible working arrangements, hybrid arrangements.Career progression, learning and development opportunities.Attractive base salary starting at $99,550 plus superannuation and leave loading.To apply:Click 'Apply for this job' to submit your application.Your application must include a resume, a cover letter, and selection criteria addressing the "As the ideal candidate, you will demonstrate the following" section.Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold a valid work permit or visa.
