Financial Analyst role for a Fremantle State Government Department, looking for an immediate start.Your new company:Our Fremantle-based State Government Department client is looking to immediately recruit an experienced Financial Analyst to join their busy, fast-paced Finance team on a 6-month contract basis (with possibility of extension).Your new role:Develop, maintain, and reconcile budgets from multiple funding sources, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.Perform tasks related to grant applications, budget calculations, amendments, reimbursements, and financial reporting.Prepare monthly, annual, and comprehensive financial reports, and support audits by providing required documentation.Analyse financial data to maximise the utilisation of funding sources and prepare budget requests.Research, analyse, and interpret funding rules and regulations to ensure compliance and meet all reporting deadlines.Provide backup support to senior finance analysts as needed.What you'll need to succeed:Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, contemporary financial modelling practices and systems.Highly developed problem-solving and analytical skills including advanced user skills in Excel, Power Query and Power BI and the use of financial management and other information systems to develop appropriate modelling.Demonstrated ability to perform commercial and economic analysis of organisational performance including strategic and corporate planning, business performance, financial and people performance.Experience in the timely delivery of significant and complex projects.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and develop positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including within a team environment and contribute to the achievement of team goals and objectives.Highly developed written and oral communication skills.What you'll get in return:A competitive hourly rate.An immediate start.You will be joining a fast-paced finance team.Close to public transport.What you need to do now:If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.
