Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the public face of CommBank, delivering a seamless banking experience for the future, to our 10 million + personal and small business customers. We offer market-leading products and services, supported by some of the world's best systems and processes.
The RBS Customer Remediation Crew is a remediation centre of excellence within Retail Banking Services (RBS) responsible for the project delivery and payment execution of customer remediation projects across all RBS lines of business. Remediations can range from simple to complex projects covering multiple product lines and business units. The RBS Remediation team has an opening for a Product Owner to lead an established squad delivering remediations in the Customer Service Direct (CSD) portfolio.
Do work that matters:
You will report to the Crew Lead Customer Remediation, and as a Product Owner (at the Senior Manager level) you will be responsible for setting the strategic vision and roadmap for the product in partnership with business stakeholders and product management to maximise delivery of business value and support benefits realisation. You will continuously iterate and enhance solutions to create better outcomes and value for customers and stakeholders. You will move forward with less-than-perfect information, and quickly pivot to changing work demands, possessing the ability to accurately evaluate complex and ambiguous situations to reach timely, objective and informed decisions. You will influence others by communicating value with credibility and authority.
Key Responsibilities: Accountable for addressing impediments, driving decisions and resolving escalations.Act as the voice of the business and translate this for the team.Attract and develop talent including interviewing, recruitment, hiring, and mentoring of product owners.Create a long-term business culture and mode of operation across the Product Owner community and chapter.Establish the value proposition for the product in collaboration with stakeholders (Business and Technology).Incorporate design thinking and analytics to inform product design.Lead a squad and a team of product owners leading aligned squads.Provide visible leadership of the CBA values.Lead and develop the product roadmap, and engage with senior stakeholders/business units (Business, Operations and Technology) to manage the delivery of the product roadmap.Maintain a well-prioritised backlog to incrementally deliver business and customer outcomes.Manage the Squad's performance against defined objectives including OKR tracking, etc.Own and manage pricing, financials, licensing, Return On Investment and/or supplier relationships.Release prototypes and iterate a product that meets customer needs and achieves the Crew's goals.Influence senior business and technical stakeholders to ensure that prioritisation is understood and agreed to.We're interested in hearing from people who have: Demonstrated experience in translating product vision to roadmap and backlog.Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship-building skills.Strong commercial acumen and the ability to prioritise effectively.Ability to deliver written and verbal updates to senior executive level.Demonstrated ability to drive business growth and strategically problem solve.Strong collaboration with teams on work streams/project activities end-to-end and independently manage deliverables.Experience working in an agile environment advantageous.Risk Mindset: All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.If you're already part of the Commonwealth Bank Group (including Bankwest, x15ventures), you'll need to apply through Sidekick to submit a valid application.
